PUBLIC MEETING SET FOR NOV. 20
ON BRIGGS CHANEY ROAD STUDY        For Immediate Release:  Nov. 7, 1996



     Montgomery County's Department of Public Works and Transportation will
host a public briefing to provide area residents with an update on the Briggs
Chaney Road transportation facility planning study.  The briefing will be held
on Wednesday, Nov. 20, from 7-9 p.m. at the Benjamin Banneker Middle School,
1800 Perrywood Drive, Silver Spring.
     The planning study relates to the portion of Briggs Chaney Road from
Automobile/Castle Boulevard to the Prince George's County line.
     The briefing will also include a progress report on the S-curve
realignment project in the vicinity of Olive Branch Drive.
