GROUP NEEDS BOXES
FOR HOLIDAY BASKETS
FOR THE NEEDY For Immediate Release: November 15, 1996
Helping Hand Food & Toys, a Silver-Spring based nonprofit organization
which collects food and toys for needy families, is in dire need of 900 used
cardboard boxes to deliver charity gifts for the Thanksgiving and December
holidays. The organization is part of the county-wide Holiday Basket Project.
The group's normal provider was unable to deliver boxes for this upcoming
holiday season.
The boxes, approximately 22"X15"X12" in size, will be used to fill
deliveries of food and toys for nearly 5,000 County residents in the Silver
Spring, Takoma Park and Wheaton areas.
