REFUSE/RECYCLING SERVICE SCHEDULE
ANNOUNCED FOR THANKSGIVING,
CHRISTMAS, AND NEW YEAR'S DAY For Immediate Release: November 19, 1996
Residents whose County-provided recycling and/or once-a-week trash
collection services fall on Thanksgiving, Thursday November 28, 1996, are
reminded by the County Department of Public Works and Transportation that they
will receive pick-up on Friday, November 29.
All other scheduled recycling and once-a-week trash pick-ups scheduled for
Friday, November 29, will be made on Saturday, November 30.
Residents with Monday and Thursday twice-weekly trash collection will
receive only one collection -- on Monday -- during Thanksgiving week.
Christmas/New Year's Day schedules
For residents whose County-provided recycling and/or once-a-week trash
collection services fall on Wednesdays, there will be no collections on
Christmas, December 25 and New Year's Day, January 1. Residents with Wednesday
collection days will receive service, instead, on December 26 and January 2.
Residents with Thursday collections will receive service on Friday, December 27
and January 3. Residents with Friday collections will receive collection service
on Saturday, December 28 and January 4.
The upcoming Federal holidays, Martin Luther King's birthday and

President's Day, are not trash collection holidays. Residents' service is
unaffected during those weeks.
