COUNTY SADD CHAPTER
HOLDS CANDLELIGHT VIGIL       For Immediate Release: December 4, 1996


     The public is invited to join Montgomery County Students Against Drunk
Driving (MCSADD) and Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) in a candlelight
vigil for victims of drunk drivers on Sunday, December 15.  The event will be
held at 7 p.m. in the cafeteria of the Executive Office Building, 101 Monroe
Street, Rockville.
     According to MCSADD officials, the ceremony is in remembrance of those
who have been injured or died in drunk driving accidents and to send a message
that it is illegal for anyone under age 21 to drink alcoholic beverages.
     "We take great pride in co-sponsoring this event," said Megan Rosinski,
president of MCSADD and student at Damascus High School.  "I think it helps us
all realize the terrible tragedy that comes with drinking and driving." 
     MCSADD operates with support of the County's departments of Recreation;
Health and Human Services; Police,Secondary School Safety Coordinator;
Montgomery County Public Schools; The Prevention Center; and Montgomery County
Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
