FIRST NIGHT MONTGOMERY
COUNTY INFORMATION

     Information on the County's New Year's Eve celebration -- First Night
Montgomery County -- is now available on the Montgomery County home page at
http://www.co.mo.md.us.happy_new_year/html.
     First Night Montgomery County will be held from 3 p.m. to midnight on
Tuesday, December 31 in downtown Silver Spring.  Oldies recording artists, The
Coasters and The Sevilles, will headline more than 100 entertainers performing
on 21 stages inside office buildings, tents, banks, stores and area churches. 
     The internet access provides detailed information about the event,
including a schedule of activities, admission costs and locations for button
purchases, transportation information, an entertainment guide and performance
times, and information on the laser and fireworks shows.
