RIDE ON ANNOUNCES NEW WEBSITE LINKS
TO HEALTH SERVICES, LIBRARIES;
RIDE ON ROUTES TO SCHOOLS ALSO ADDED For Immediate Release: April, 7, 1997

Two new directories of Ride On and Metrobus routes serving County health and
human services facilities and libraries are now on the Internet, in addition to new information
about bus routes to Montgomery County public schools.
To access the directories and the school page, log on to the Department of Public
Works and Transportation's website at http:// www.dpwt.com then click on "Transit Services,"
and "Special Events and What's New."
Health Services link: This directory lists the County's health and human services
facilities, their addresses, Ride On and Metrobus routes serving them, and the nearest
Metrorail station. To directly access the directory, use the following address
http://www.dpwt.com/TransSvcDiv/brochures/health.htm. From this directory, users can link
to the Health and Human Services Home Page -- http://www.co.mo.md.us/services/hhs
Public Libraries link: This directory lists the County's public libraries, their
addresses, Ride On and Metrobus routes serving them. To directly access the directory, use

directory, users can link to the Montgomery County Public Libraries Home Page at

Public Schools information: This directory lists the middle and high schools, their
addresses and Ride On and Metrobus routes serving them. To directly access the information,
use the following address http://www.dpwt.com/TransSvcDiv/brochures/schools. There
currently no link from this site to the Montgomery County Public Schools Home Page.
The website also includes Ride On's routes, time schedules and a route map; updated
information on any delays or detours; and fare and transfer information. Users can also
access and print out an order form for purchasing transit passes, tickets and tokens by mail.
There is also a list of sales outlets for Ride On, Metrobus, Metrorail and MARC Commuter
Rail.
