VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
FOR TASTE  OF WHEATON EVENT      For Immediate Release:  April 9, 1997


     Volunteers are needed to help with the Second Annual Taste of Wheaton scheduled
for May 18, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the  intersection of  Grandview and Ennalls avenues
near the Wheaton Metro Station in downtown Wheaton.
     The event will feature food from local restaurants, live entertainment, children's
activities and fire and safety demonstrations by the Wheaton Rescue Squad.  Admission is
free; individual tastes will be priced at 50 cents and $1.
     Volunteer jobs include ticket sales, assisting with children's activities, helping vendors,
distributing gifts and give-aways and serving as information guides and stage hands.  Each
volunteer will receive a limited edition t-shirt and other gifts.
