DUNCAN SELECTS
MARKETING MANAGER
FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT For Immediate Release (May 5, 1997)

County Executive Douglas M. Duncan today named Jeanne Pickering Brewer as
Marketing Manager in the County’s Department of Economic Development. The position
was created to promote the County’s business leadership identity and to spotlight the
County’s competitive business advantages.
Development of an aggressive business marketing program is essential to the success
of our economic development efforts, said Duncan. Jeanne Brewer’s qualifications clearly
match our commitment to increase visibility and recognition of Montgomery County’s
outstanding business community.
Brewer currently serves as Vice President and Director of Relocation Services for
Centura Bank, Inc. in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. Prior to this position, Brewer
was Director of Communications for the Research Triangle Park Foundation and has
extensive experience in economic development, marketing, and communications. In addition
to extensive professional development and leadership training, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in
Psychology from Mars Hill College and is pursuing an MBA from Meredith College in
Raleigh, North Carolina.
