TO OPEN FOR SEASON                                  For Immediate Release: June 10, 1997


     The Wheaton Farmers Market will open on Sunday, June 15 for the coming season.
     Located at Blueridge and Elkins avenues, just off Georgia Avenue, the market will
feature Maryland-grown fruits, vegetables, baked goods, jams, jellies, honey, specialty foods,
fresh cut or potted herbs and cut flowers.
     The market, sponsored by the Wheaton Urban District, will be open Sundays, from
8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., through October 26.
