COUNTY TO SPONSOR HIGH
SCHOOL DANCES AT
STUDEBAKER'S                  For Immediate Release:  June 17, 1997


     County youth organizers will hold two dances for County students on Tuesday, June
24, and Tuesday, July 8, from 8 to 11:30 p.m., at Studebaker's, 1750 Rockville Pike,
Rockville.
     The dances are open to all Montgomery County high school students (high school
identification cards will be required).  Music will be provided by a local disc jockey and
refreshments will be available.   
     Admission is $8, or $7 with a canned food donation. Space is limited and reservations
are recommended by calling 217-6090.  Students requiring special assistance, including
transportation and financial aid, are encouraged to call ahead for assistance. 
     The event is sponsored by the Montgomery County Youth Advisory Committee,
Studebaker's, City of Rockville Recreation and Parks, Montgomery County departments of
Health and Human Services and Recreation, and Drawing the Line on Under 21 Alcohol Use
and the Montgomery County Criminal Justice Coordinating Commission.
