RESIDENTS IN AREAS AFFECTED BY
RECENT STORM CAN PLACE DEBRIS
OUT FOR PICKUP THROUGH MONDAY For Immediate Release:  June 26, 1997




     Montgomery County's Department of Public Works and Transportation is asking
residents who live in the areas hit hardest by last week's storm to place any remaining debris
from downed trees and limbs at their curbside for collection by Monday, June 30 at 7 a.m.
     After Monday, residents are reminded that they may also place bundled tree limbs and
branches, in accordance with the County's solid waste recycling procedures, at curbside for
removal as part of their normal weekly recycling pickup.
     In addition, debris is accepted year-round at the County's Solid Waste Transfer Station,
Mondays through Saturdays, from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.  The facility is located at 16101
Frederick Road, near the intersection of Shady Grove Road and Frederick Road (MD Route
355) in Derwood.
