RIDE ON SEEKS APPLICANTS
FOR TRANSIT ADVISORY GROUP For Immediate Release: January 24, 1997
Montgomery County's Division of Transit Services is seeking individuals who are
regular users of Ride On bus service to fill nine positions on the Transit Advisory Group.
This is a newly created consumer advisory panel that will serve as a sounding board for the
division and provide feedback on Ride On policies, services and programs.
County residents who are regular Ride On users and who represent a broad range of
interests, such as transit ridership advocacy; community advocacy; environmental issues;
economic development; and issues concerning seniors and the disabled are urged to apply.
Consideration will also be given to applicants representing the Ride On geographic service
areas of upper and lower Montgomery County. A bus operator will also serve as a member
of the advisory group. Membership terms will be determined by the group. It is expected
that meetings will take place quarterly.
