  "PROJECT GROWTH" OFFERS HELP
  TO MID-COUNTY BUSINESSES                 For Immediate Release: July 8, 1997
  
                                   
  
     Montgomery County’s Department of Economic Development, in collaboration 
  with the Mid-County Regional Services Center, will hold three seminars in July for
  local business owners in Wheaton, Kensington and Olney.   Project Growth  is
  designed to provide more services to small businesses in the mid-county area.
     Each of the seminars will be held from 8-10 a.m. at the Mid-County Services
  Center, 2424 Reedie Drive in Wheaton.  Dates and topics for the seminars are:
       July 9: Marketing through the Internet
       July 11: Accessing SBA Loan Programs
       July 15: Employment and Other Legal Issues
      Our department has long recognized the need to reach out to small and
  minority-owned businesses,  said David Edgerley, Director of the County’s
  Department of Economic Development.
     Technical consultants and business students from local colleges will staff the
  business resource office and conduct the business training seminars and one-on-one
  counseling sessions.
