VOLUNTEER TUTORS NEEDED
FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS         For Immediate Release (July 23, 1997)


     The Interagency Coordinating Board is recruiting volunteers to tutor at selected middle
schools in the fall. Tutors are needed for reading, math, science and for supplemental
enrichment activities in those subjects.
     Currently, tutors are needed at Col. E. Brooke Lee, Eastern and Takoma Park middle
schools.  Tutors will be needed at additional schools later in the fall.
     Volunteers of all ages, from high school sophomores through senior adults, are being
sought.  The minimum time commitment is one and one-half hours per week for an eight
week period.  Orientation and training are provided.  For additional information, call Charlene
