DISNEY OUTDOOR MOVIE FESTIVAL
SCHEDULED FOR GERMANTOWN      For Immediate Release: August 7, 1997

     Four evenings of  free family entertainment, including games, activities and movies
are coming to Germantown, August 14-17.
     Co-sponsored by the Disney Channel and the County Department of Recreation,
"PremEARS in the Park" will include a feature Disney movie each evening, in addition to
costumed characters,  Disney Channel branded premium prizes, games, and activities such as
the Crayola Coloring Tent and Disney's Dance Along.  A fireworks display will follow the
Saturday night movie.  
     The following movies will be shown on a 30' x 40' screen: "Return of Jafar"
(Thursday); "Big Green" (Friday); "D3: The Mighty Ducks" (Saturday); and "First Kid"
(Sunday).
     No food will be sold at the event, so families are encouraged to bring picnics. 
Participants are asked to bring a can of food to be donated to a local charity.
     The event will be held at the intersection of Route 118 and Aircraft Drive, beginning
at 7 p.m., with the movies being shown at dusk.  Parking is available at the garage on
Century Boulevard, which also includes handicapped parking.
