DUNCAN SEEKS APPLICANTS FOR
OAKS LANDFILL ADVISORY
 COMMISSION VACANCY           For Immediate Release: (January 30, 1997)



     County Executive Douglas M. Duncan is seeking candidates to fill an at-large vacancy
on the Oaks Landfill Advisory Commission.
     The seven-member commission is charged with monitoring and evaluating the
environmental impacts, safety, effectiveness and aesthetic aspects of the Oaks landfill.
Members provide the County Executive with a combination of citizen and professional
expertise.
     The commissioners serve two-year terms without compensation, meeting at least four
times per year.
     Interested citizens should write no later than February 28 to County Executive Douglas
M. Duncan at the Executive Office Building, 101 Monroe Street, Rockville, MD 20850. 
A brief resume, including home and work phone numbers, should be enclosed.
