EASTERN MONTGOMERY SERVICES
CENTER TO SPONSOR SAFE
DRIVING PROGRAM FOR
SENIOR CITIZENS                    For Immediate Release:  September 16, 1997



     An eight-hour safe driving program for senior citizens will be conducted at the 
Eastern Montgomery Services Center on September 23 and 25 from 1 to 5 p.m.  The center is
located at 13436 New Hampshire Ave. in the Colesville Shopping Center (intersection of
Randolph Rd. and New Hampshire Ave.).
     The State-sponsored program -- 55 Alive -- is designed to provide motorists with safe
driving techniques.  John Nash, an instructor with the American Association of Retired
Persons, will be conducting the training.
     There is an $8 fee for the program, and participants who complete the two sessions
will receive a certificate.  A limited number of insurance companies do offer discounts for
persons completing the 55 Alive program.
