CRISIS CENTER MOVES TO TEMPORARY
LOCATION; SERVICES TO CONTINUE For Immediate Release: February 3, 1997

The Montgomery County Crisis Center has relocated its offices following a suspected
arson fire that occurred on Sunday evening. The center's telephone and walk-in services have
been temporally moved to the County's Abused Persons Program, 4905 Delray Avenue, suite
200, adjacent to the Crisis Center's offices in downtown Bethesda.
County officials anticipate that it will be at least two-months before repairs can be
made to the building, which sustained significant smoke and heat damage from the fire.
To call the Crisis Center's 24-hour hotline, dial 301-656-9161. If there is no answer,
call 301-913-0178.
