COUNTY TO SPONSOR HIGH
SCHOOL DANCE AT STUDEBAKER'S
ON OCTOBER 23                 For Immediate Release:  October 1, 1997


     County youth organizers will hold a dance for County high school students on
Thursday, October 23, from 8 to 11:30 p.m., at Studebaker's, 1750 Rockville Pike, Rockville.
     The dance is open to all Montgomery County high school students (high school
identification cards will be required).  Music will be provided by a local disc jockey and
refreshments will be available.   
     Admission is $8, or $7 with a canned food donation. Space is limited, and individuals
will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis.  Students requiring special assistance,
including transportation and financial aid, are encouraged to call 301-217-6090. 
     The event is sponsored by the Montgomery County Youth Advisory Committee,
Studebaker's, City of Rockville Recreation and Parks, Montgomery County departments of
Health and Human Services and Recreation, Drawing the Line on Under 21 Alcohol Use, and
the Montgomery County Criminal Justice Coordinating Commission.
