HOLIDAY SCHEDULE FOR 
PRESIDENTS' DAY                            For Immediate Release: February 7, 1997

     Montgomery County government will observe the following holiday schedule for
Presidents' Day on Monday, February 17:

     County Offices  -- closed
     Libraries -- closed 
     County liquor stores -- open with the exception of the following stores:
               Cabin John; Cloverly; Fenton; Germantown; Grove; Twinbrook; and
               White Oak

     Ride-On -- Saturday schedule 

     Metrobus -- Saturday schedule 
              
     Metrorail -- Saturday schedule 

     Parking at public garages, lots, curbside meters -- free

     Trash -- Regular collection

     Transfer Station -- open

     MCPS Administrative Offices and schools -- closed

     Housing Opportunities Commission -- open

     State offices & courts -- closed
