RECYCLING SERVICE
ADJUSTMENTS ANNOUNCED
FOR NEW YEARS HOLIDAY               For Immediate Release: December  30, 1997


     Residents whose County-provided recycling and/or trash collection services fall on
New Year's Day, Thursday, January 1, 1998, are reminded by the County's Division of Solid
waste services that they will receive pickup on Friday, January 2.
     Residents whose usual recycling/trash pick up day is Friday will receive service on
Saturday, January 3.
     The two upcoming Federal holidays -- Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday and
President's Day  -- are not trash collection holidays.  Service to County residents is unaffected
during the weeks in which the holidays fall.
