EARTH DAY EVENTS

FOR CALENDAR LISTING For Immediate Release: March 26, 1997
To help promote Earth Day and Arbor Day events being planned for late April, the
Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) invites event planners
and organizers for schools, environmental clubs, neighborhood associations, churches,
community groups, and non-profit organizations, to forward information about their
activities.
DEP plans to disseminate the listing of activities via a free guide to Earth Day Events,
the Montgomery County Homepage, listings with schools, teachers, and PTA groups,
newsletter articles, cable television coverage, and other outreach vehicles.
The deadline for submitting information is April 11, 1997.
For each event, send date, time, location, program and entertainment details, sponsors,
as well as contact names and phone numbers to Joseph M. Keyser at DEP either by faxing
information to (301) 217-2254, e-mail (Joe.Keyser@montgomerycountymd.gov), or by calling (301) 217-
2355 or writing to DEP, 101 Monroe Street, Rockville, Maryland, 20850.
