County To Host Pool Parties For
Middle and High School Students

Swimming, music, karaoke, pool games and prizes, will highlight three pool parties for County youths to be held on Friday evenings in July in Germantown, Poolesville and Silver Spring. The parties will be held from 8:30 to 11 p.m. Admission is $2 per person. With the exception of the Germantown event, all pool parties are open to County middle and high schools students with Montgomery County School identification.

The following parties have been scheduled:

· Friday, July 17 -- Germantown Pool, 18905 Kings View Drive. Open to Germantown area Middle School students only;

· Friday, July 24 -- Western County Pool, 20151 Fisher Ave., Poolesville; and

· Friday, July 31 - Long Branch Pool, 8700 Piney Branch Rd., Silver Spring.

The parties are part of teen programs operated by the Montgomery County Department of Recreation, the Drawing the Line On Under 21 Alcohol Use, and the County's Youth Advisory Committee.
