Duncan Seeks Applicants
For Board To Help Victims
Of Hate/Violence
County Executive Douglas M. Duncan is seeking applicants to fill five full and partial-
term vacancies on the Partnership Board for Victims of Hate/Violence. Three members are
eligible to apply for reappointment. The seven-member board was created to give citizens a
chance to participate in Montgomery County's efforts to eradicate acts of hate/violence.
The board reviews and approves applications from victims for compensation from the
Partnership Fund for Victims of Hate/Violence. Members also seek public awareness for the
fund, and publicize and work with local media, businesses, schools, churches, and community
organizations.
Members serve three-year terms without compensation. The board meets on the first
Wednesday of each month at 8 a.m. in Rockville.
Applicants should write by Feb. 13 to County Executive Douglas M. Duncan at the
Executive Office Building, l0l Monroe St., Rockville, MD 20850. A brief resume, including
home and work phone numbers, should be enclosed. Members of County boards, committees
and commissions may not serve on more than one such group at a time.
Duncan's appointments are subject to confirmation by the County Council.
Applications of those selected for appointment are made public as part of the confirmation
process.
