PUBLIC INVITED TO SHARE IDEAS
ON FUTURE RECYLING PROGRAMS AT "SUMMIT"
County residents are invited to attend a "Recycling Summit" on October 3 to present ideas for future recycling programs, activities and strategies that will help the County reach its goal of recycling 50 percent.
The Summit will be held at the Executive Office Building Lobby Auditorium, 101 Monroe Street, Rockville, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Presented by the County's Solid Waste Advisory Committee and Department of Public Works and Transportation, the Summit will feature a review of the County's current recycling programs, followed by roundtable/brainstorming sessions. The ideas presented in the sessions will be reported to the entire group, which will then prioritize the proposals.
Registration deadline for the Summit is September 28. Call the Division of Solid Waste Services, between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., at 301-217-2770.
