WORLD RENOWNED COMPOSER
AT SILVER SPRING LIBRARY :30 Good through: April 18, 1999

World renowned folk-song artist, composer and author, Oscar Brand, will perform an original musical presentation entitled "Laughing America" at the Silver Spring Community Library, on April 19 at 8 p.m. The library is located at 8901 Colesville Road.

Called "One of America's Best" by The New York Times, Brand has written lyrics for performers such as Doris Day and Harry Belafonte. He has appeared with Bob Dylan, Pete Seeger and Woody Guthrie, among others.

The free performance is sponsored by the Friends of the Silver Spring Library.
