County Officials Kickoff
Asian Pacific American Heritage Month
The public is invited to attend ceremonies marking the beginning of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month on Tuesday, May 4, in the Executive Office Building, lobby auditorium, 101 Monroe Street, Rockville. The program runs from 6 to 8 p.m.
The ceremony will include the unveiling of an Asian art exhibit, entertainment and light refreshments. At the event, County Executive Douglas M. Duncan and County Council President Isiah Leggett will issue a proclamation designating May as Asian Pacific American Month. Former California Congressman and current vice president of Lockheed Martin, Norman Y. Mineta, will give the keynote address.
Parking is available on the G2 level under the building, or in the Council Office Building garage at Jefferson and Monroe streets.
