NEW TELEPHONE NUMBER TO ACCESS
NEWSLINE FOR THE BLIND

Beginning June 28, 1999, subscribers of Newsline for the Blind, a newspaper reading service, will have to call the new telephone number -- 240-777-0004 -- to receive local and national newspaper coverage.

Newsline is a free telephone service for people who are blind, visually impaired and/or unable to read a printed newspaper. The 24-hour telephone service is available to residents in Montgomery and Prince George's counties, the District of Columbia and Northern Virginia.

Newsline for the Blind is offered by the National Federation of the Blind and provided locally to the Washington Metropolitan Area by the Montgomery County Department of Public Libraries.
