County Seeks Fans For
Needy, Frail Elderly

With area temperatures and humidity expected to be in the unhealthy range for the remainder of the week, Montgomery County's Volunteer and Community Service Center and Manna Food Center are seeking donations of new or used fans in good working condition to provide relief for frail elderly and needy residents. Persons wishing to donate fans can take them to the Manna Food Center at 614 Lofstrand Lane in Rockville.

Eligible residents who are having trouble coping with the heat should contact the Montgomery County Aging and Disabilities Information and Assistance Program at 301-217-8500.
