Montgomery County Offers
County Code and Charter on Website

The Montgomery County Code and Charter are now available online as part of the Montgomery County website, which is located at http://www.co.mo.md.us.

The County Code consists of the laws of Montgomery County, including the zoning ordinance. The Charter, Montgomery County's constitution, provides the rules that govern the three branches of the County - legislative, executive and judicial.

Copies of the County Code in print, and on CD with a folio-views search engine, are available for purchase from the County Attorney's Office, 101 Monroe Street, 3rd Floor, Rockville, MD 20850. Telephone: (240) 777-6753.

Single copies of the County Charter are available for free by sending a self addressed, stamped, business envelope to the Office of Public Information, 101 Monroe Street, 4th Floor, Rockville, MD 20850.

Montgomery County's website also includes a wide range of information regarding County services, news, budgets, and volunteer opportunities. In addition, it provides direct links to schools, chambers of commerce, utilities, and regional and state government agencies, as well as to the County's Historical Society and Conference and Visitor's Bureau.
