Bethesda-Chevy Chase Center Holds
Free Income Tax Workshops

Free tax workshops on how to complete federal and Maryland income tax forms will be held in March at the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Regional Services Center, 4805 Edgemoor Lane. The first of the two-session workshops is scheduled for March 2 and 9 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. The second workshop series will be held on March 11 and 18 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.

The workshops will cover general issues concerning individual tax returns, provide information about tax-related resources, and will review the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) tax forms. In the first session of the two-part workshop, presenters will give a general tax overview of both federal and Maryland returns. Reference materials will be provided. The second session will allow participants to ask questions about their individual tax returns or discuss specific topics such as part-time self-employment and stock sales. Presenters are volunteers from the RSVP/AARP Tax Aide Program who have completed extensive training provided by the IRS.
