DUNCAN ASKS PUBLIC TO
HELP VENEZUELAN FLOOD VICTIMS
Montgomery County Executive Douglas M. Duncan is asking residents to aid the flood victims in Venezuela. The recent floods and torrential rains are Venezuela's worst natural disaster in 50 years.
"This is one small way that our residents can help the victims of Venezuela," said Duncan. "Montgomery County residents have always shown an enormous amount of compassion and generosity in aiding those in need and I'm confident that they will come through again during this holiday season to help and support the Venezuelan people."
Montgomery County's Office of Human Resources is coordinating donations County-wide. The following items are needed: baby formula, baby food, baby bottles, diapers, canned goods, manual can openers, potable bottled water, sheets, light blankets, summer clothing for children and adults, disposable gloves, first aid items, toiletries, cleaning products, and toys in good condition. Donations can be dropped off at the Executive Office Building, 7th Floor, 101 Monroe Street, Rockville or any of the following Regional Services Centers, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.:
