Submissions For Display
Montgomery County poets are invited to submit works to be considered for display in a new, permanent gallery opening in April (Poetry Month) in the Executive Office Building in Rockville. The exhibit is designed to offer the public an opportunity to enjoy the works of some of the county's talented writers. Eight poems will be displayed (in large format) every three months in the gallery.
Writers must reside or work in Montgomery County, and must have been published in at least three journals, magazines, or books, or have won or been a finalist in a major writing competition since 1995.
Writers may submit one or two short poems (up to 12-15 lines) for consideration, along with a brief biography. Please send all submissions to: Poetry Gallery, Offices of the County Executive, 101 Monroe Street, 2nd Floor, Rockville, MD 20850. Deadline for submissions is March 26.
For more information or a complete list of submission guidelines, call 301-217-2500.
