Nominations Sought for Community Use of
Public Facilities' Outstanding Service Awards

Montgomery County's Interagency Coordinating Board (ICB) is seeking nominations of individuals who have provided outstanding service to the Community Use of Public Facilities program. Organizations that use Montgomery County Public Schools after school and on weekends are encouraged to submit nominations.

The ICB recognizes outstanding service each year through the presentation of awards in two categories: the Donald R. Spivack Award and the Outstanding Community Award Recipients (OSCARs).

The Spivack Award is presented to an individual who has volunteered time and talents to promote the use of schools for community education and community service activities after school or weekends at school sites. The OSCARs are presented to school staff who provide outstanding service to community organizations that use public schools.

Recipients will be selected by the Interagency Coordinating Board and the Citizens Advisory Committee.

Nomination forms are available at all public schools and at the Community Use of Public Facilities office, 100 Maryland Avenue, Room 240, Rockville. Nominations must be received no later than March 12.

For more information, call Marjorie Roher, 301-217-2723.
