Women's History Month
Program Scheduled

In observance of Women's History Month, Montgomery County's Office of Human Resources and Commission for Women are co-sponsoring a program entitled "Communications for Women in a Diverse Workplace." The program will take place on Tuesday, March 30, from 1 - 3 p.m., in the Executive Office Building, Lobby Level Auditorium, 101 Monroe St., Rockville.

The interactive program is part of the County's Workforce Diversity Education Seminar Series and will be facilitated by Dorothy Silvera Durden and Mary Cadden. Durden is the founder and principal consultant for The Whitestone Group, Inc., a human resources company providing management and employment development programs. Cadden specializes in interpersonal communications, including transformational leadership, team development, women in business and stress management. Participants will explore gender communication differences and learn how to assess the effectiveness of communication, including non-verbal messages and assertiveness.

The program is free and open to the public, but pre-registration is required. For more information or to register, call 301-217-2279.
