Montgomery County To Host
Y2K Town Meeting in East County
Montgomery County will host a special town meeting on Monday, April 5 to discuss the Y2K computer problem and possible challenges that it might bring for residents and businesses. The meeting will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. at the East County Community Center, 3310 Gateshead Manor Way, Silver Spring.
This will be the first in a series of Y2K meetings held throughout the County during the next eight months. At the meeting, officials will discuss how the County is preparing for the so-called millennium bug, and offer suggestions on how homeowners and businesses can be better prepared. A question and answer session will follow the presentation. Light refreshments will be provided.
For directions or more information, call the Eastern Montgomery Regional Services Center at 301-989-1230.
