Duncan Seeks Youth Applicants
For Commission On Children & Youth

County Executive Douglas M. Duncan is seeking applicants under the age of 21 to fill seven vacancies on Montgomery County's Commission on Children and Youth.

The 27-member Commission advises the County Executive, County Council, Department of Health and Human Services, and Board of Education on policies, programs and services which support children, youth and their families. Youth members serve one-year terms without compensation.

Meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month (except August) in Rockville. Members are expected to serve on committees of the Commission and these meetings are held as needed.

Applicants should send no later than March 31 a letter of interest stating why they would like to serve on the Commission. The letter should be sent to County Executive Douglas M. Duncan at the Executive Office Building, 101 Monroe Street, Rockville, MD 20850. Home and school telephone numbers should be included. Members of County boards, committees and commissions may not serve on more than one such group at a time.

Duncan's appointments are subject to confirmation by the County Council. Applications of those selected for appointment are made public as part of the confirmation process.
