UPCOMING SEMINAR TO FOCUS ON
JAPANESE TRADE OPPORTUNITIES			For Immediate Release:  Jan. 5, 1996




	"Expanding Your Business in Japan" is the subject of a half-day seminar set for Thursday, Jan. 18, from 8:30-11:30 a.m., at the University of Maryland Shady Grove Center.  Top officials of the Japan Development Bank, Yokohama Prefecture, the Bank of Yokohama, the City of Yokohama and Maryland's Office of International Trade will present specific trade opportunities and economic overviews of Japan's high growth markets, along with trade tips and information on financing options.
	Sponsored by Montgomery County's Office of Economic Development and each of the presenting organizations, the seminar is part of a series of educational and training opportunities that OED is providing for County businesses this year.
