COUNTY TO HOLD CONFERENCE ON
AGRI-BUSINESS MARKETING				For Immediate Release:  Jan. 5, 1996




	Montgomery County's Office of Economic Development will sponsor a technical assistance and marketing conference for agricultural businesses on Wednesday, Feb. 14, from 7:30 a.m.-2 p.m.  Entitled "Standing in the Fields of Knowledge," the conference will be held at the Gaithersburg Holiday Inn, 2 Montgomery Village Avenue, Gaithersburg.
	Conference attendees will receive information on such topics as:  agricultural financing, creating a farm presence, starting a bed and breakfast, addressing your buyers needs, and organic farming certification.
	This will be the third in a series of educational and training seminars for County businesses, which is being sponsored this year by the Office of Economic Development.
	Pre-registration before February 9 is $25.  After that date, registration will be $30.  For more information or to receive a program and registration form, contact the Office of Economic Development at 217-2345.  The TDD/TTY number is 217-2342.
