CITIZENS ADVISORY BOARDS HOST
ANNUAL CIP FORUMS, STARTING JUNE 5       FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: May 31, 1996


     Montgomery County Citizens Advisory Boards are hosting a series of
community meetings, starting June 5, to determine public priorities for
capital construction projects.  The forums give area residents an opportunity
to participate in the County's Capital Improvements Program (CIP) budget
process for fiscal years 1998-2003.
   Capital projects include construction of such facilities as roads, schools,
parks, golf courses, libraries, parking garages, and mass transit and traffic
improvement efforts.  The forums will be held at the County's regional
services centers as follows:
     o    June 5, 7:30 p.m. -- Eastern Montgomery County Services
     Center, located in the Colesville Center at the corner of New
     Hampshire Ave. and Randolph Rd., Silver Spring.
     o    June 6, 7:00 p.m. -- Bethesda-Chevy Chase Services Center, 
     located at 7815 Woodmont Ave., Bethesda. 
     o    June 10, 7:00 p.m. -- Silver Spring Services Center, located
     at 8818 Georgia Ave., Silver Spring. 
     o    June 17, 7:00 p.m. -- Upcounty Services Center, located at
     12900 Middlebrook Rd., Germantown.
     o    June 18, 7:30 p.m. -- Mid-County Services Center, located at
     2424 Reedie Dr., Wheaton.
