SELL RIDE ON MONTHLY YOUTH PASSES
For Immediate Release: February 1, 1996
The Ride On bus system’s monthly County Cruiser Pass, available to
persons 18 years and younger, is now available for purchase at five of the
County’s six Regional Service Centers. To obtain the $20 monthly pass,
persons must show proof of age at the time of purchase.
County Regional Service Centers selling the $20 monthly pass include the
Bethesda-Chevy Chase Services Center, 7815 Woodmont Avenue (Call 986-4325);
Silver Spring Regional Service Center, 8818 Georgia Avenue (Call 217-3100);
Eastern Montgomery Services Center, 13436 New Hampshire Avenue (Call 989-
1230); Upcounty Regional Service Center, 12900 Middlebrook Road, Suite 1000
in Germantown (Call 217-3400); and the Takoma-East Silver Spring Community
Service Center, 8513 Piney Branch Road (Call 565-7680). The centers are open
Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The County Cruiser Pass is also available by mail through the County’s
Fare Media by Mail Program. To obtain a brochure and order form, call
948-6676. Persons may also purchase the monthly pass from the Transit
Information Center on the 11th floor of the Executive Office Building, 101
Monroe Street, Rockville.
The County Cruiser Pass is valid on Ride On buses only; no transfer is
issued with this pass. Passengers who use both Ride On and Metrobus should
purchase a Metrobus Flash Pass that Ride On honors.
