OPEN HOUSE ON PROPOSED
AMERICAN DREAM PROJECT RESCHEDULED      For Immediate Release: Jan. 16, 1996


     The Silver Spring Redevelopment Office has rescheduled an open house on
the proposed American Dream project -- which was postponed from last weekend,
due to inclement weather -- for Thursday, Jan. 18, at 7:30 p.m. at Woodlin
Elementary School, 2101 Luzerne Avenue, Silver Spring.  A second open house
will be held on Saturday, Jan. 20, from 12:30-2:30 p.m. at the Margaret
Schweinhaut Senior Center, 1000 Forest Glen Road, Silver Spring.
      County staff, members of the Silver Spring Redevelopment Advisory
Board, representatives of the Triple Five Group's development team, and
consultants who have analyzed various aspects of the project will be available
at each of the open houses to answer questions and discuss issues of concern.
