WHEATON PLAZA HOSTS
CELEBRATION OF FAMILIES For Immediate Release: April 4, 1996
Children and parents will be featured as part of a "Celebration of
Families" to be held at Wheaton Plaza on Saturday, April 27, from 11 a.m. to 4
p.m. The event will include face-painting, an obstacle course, craft-making,
magicians, musicians, storytellers, clowns, a mime, and aerobics for children.
In addition, there will be free gifts for children and informational
resources for parents. Parents may also bring their children's immunization
records to the mall for a free review by representatives from the Montgomery
County Department of Health and Human Services.
The program, which is being held during the annual Week of the Young
Child, is sponsored by the Montgomery County Early Childhood Advisory Council
and the Maryland Community Association for the Education of Young Children.
Wheaton Plaza is located at the intersection of University Blvd. and
Veirs Mill Rd. The shopping center is across the street from the Wheaton
Metro Station on the Red Line.
