COUNTY ERECTS FENCE IN 
MEMORY OF OKLAHOMA INCIDENT        For Immediate Release:  April 10, 1996


     A temporary chain-link fence will be erected on the grounds of the
Executive Office Building, 101 Monroe Street in Rockville where citizens may
place items in memory of the victims of the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah
Building on April 19.
     The fence is a replica of the one now surrounding the site in Oklahoma
City where items are being left by citizens to remember those who died there. 
Items may be left at the fence through April 19.
     A memorial service to commemorate the first anniversary, will be held on
Friday, April 19, from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m., outside the Executive Office
Building cafeteria (south side of the building).  Remarks will be presented by
Montgomery County Executive Douglas M. Duncan, County Council President Gail
H. Ewing, Montgomery County Collapse Rescue Team leader Lieutenant Tom Carr,
and John Bode, president of the Oklahoma State Society.  The ceremony will
also feature several musical selections and the placing of a wreath in memory
of the 168 victims.
