GERMANTOWN LIBRARY
JOINS BORDERS BOOKS
IN SALUTE TO FRIENDS For Immediate Release: March 1, 1996

A silent auction, a review of recent new book titles and a reception
featuring food described in works of fiction will highlight a salute to the
Friends of the Germantown Library on March 10 at Borders Books & Music in
Gaithersburg Square, beginning at 12:30 p.m. Following the event, there will
be a classical piano concert, as part of Borders weekly Concert & Conservation
series.
The Friends of the Germantown Library is a non-profit organization of
volunteers who raise funds and solicit in-kind contributions to benefit the
library. Future projects include providing the Germantown Library with more
employment materials, better signs, upgrading computer equipment and access to
new CD-ROM products.
The free event is sponsored by the Germantown Community Library and the
Germantown Library Advisory Committee. Gaithersburg Square is located at Perry
Parkway and North Frederick Avenue.
For more information about the event, call 217-3330.
