HOLIDAY SCHEDULE FOR
PRESIDENT'S DAY                       For Immediate Release (Feb. 9, 1996)

     Montgomery County government will observe the following holiday schedule
for President's Day on Monday, February 19:

     County Offices  -- closed
     Libraries -- closed 
     County liquor stores -- open with exception of Cloverly, Fenton,
               Olney, Twinbrook and White Oak  

     Ride-On -- Saturday schedule 

     Metrobus -- Saturday schedule 
              
     Metrorail -- Saturday schedule 

     Parking at public garages, lots, curbside meters -- free

     Trash -- Regular collection

     Transfer Station --open

     BOE Administrative Offices and schools -- closed 

     Housing Opportunities Commission -- open

     Social Services -- closed 
 
     State offices & courts -- closed
