COUNTY SEEKS APPLICANTS FOR
HUMAN RELATIONS COMMISSION             For Immediate Release

	County Executive Douglas M. Duncan is seeking applicants to
fill four vacancies on the Montgomery County Human Relations
Commission.  Two members are eligible for reappointment. 
 
	The l5-member commission investigates complaints of
discrimination and promotes equal rights and opportunities for
all persons.  Meetings are held the fourth Monday of each month. 
Members serve without compensation and are required to file
annual financial disclosure statements.

	Interested citizens should write by January 12 to County
Executive Douglas M. Duncan at the Executive Office Building, l0l
Monroe Street, Rockville, MD  20850.  A brief resume including
home and work telephone numbers should be enclosed.  Members of
County boards, committees and commissions may not serve on more
than one such group at a time.

	Duncan's appointments are subject to confirmation by the
County Council.  Applications of those selected for appointment
are made public as part of the confirmation process.
