Montgomery County Executive Douglas M. Duncan joined Hughes Network
Systems, Inc. officials today to celebrate the opening of the company's new,
125,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Gaithersburg. Hughes Network

innovative and rapidly growing company, one which is revolutionizing the field
of wireless communications technologies, and we think their decision to locate
their new manufacturing facility here says a lot about the type of atmosphere

"Among the key factors behind the successful opening of this facility
was the support Hughes Network Systems received from Montgomery County and the
City of Gaithersburg," said Jack Shaw, HNS Chairman and Chief Executive
Officer. "This experience is a good example of the economic and commercial
benefits that can be achieved when the State, the County and the City work as

Hughes' new Gaithersburg facility, at 16060 Industrial Drive, is home to
more than 350 workers and has enabled the company to consolidate all
