VOLUNTEERS SOUGHT
FOR JULY FOURTH EVENT           For Immediate Release: May 10, 1996


     Volunteers are needed to help with the Independence Day celebration
planned in Wheaton on July 4.
     Jobs include helping to set up, assisting with children's activities,
serving as information specialists to assist the public, serve as stage
managers (assist with announcing and coordination of entertainment acts),
registering volunteers, staffing phones at the Mid-County Services Center, and
helping with the post-event clean-up.
     Entertainment will be held in downtown Wheaton and at Wheaton Plaza
prior to the fireworks which will begin at 9:30.
     Volunteers will receive a limited-edition t-shirt.
