PUBLIC MEETING SET FOR MAY 23
ON MONTROSE PARKWAY STUDY For Immediate Release: May 9, 1996

Montgomery County's Department of Public Works and Transportation is
conducting a study to determine the feasibility of constructing a new, four-
lane divided "Montrose Parkway," which, if built, would run parallel to a
heavily traveled portion of Montrose Road in Rockville. A public meeting will
be held on Thursday, May 23, at 7 p.m. at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church to
provide details and information on the scope of the study. All interested
persons are urged to attend.
Those attending the public meeting will be able to meet members of the
study team and will be briefed on the process and schedule of the study, as
well as the results of a traffic analysis which has been conducted.
A question and answer session will follow the briefing. For more
information, contact John DiGiovanni, project manager, at (301) 217-2148.
